  • Encourage your child to learn the rules and work within them

  • Discourage unfair play and arguing with instructors

  • Help your child to recognise good performance, not just results

  • Set a good example by recognising fair play and applauding the good performances of all

  • Never punish or belittle a child for losing or making mistakes

  • Publicly accept officials’ and Instructors’ judgments

  • Support your child’s improvement and help them to enjoy their karate

  • Use correct and proper language at all times

  • Leave the instructing to the Instructors

  • Parent/guardians and family members including younger siblings are welcome to sit in during the session provided they do not distract the children from their training. Loud chatter and play can make it difficult for the students to concentrate and for the instructors to teach, there is usually a separate area/ room you can go to where noises won't disturb the class.

  • Please make sure mobile phones are turned off or put on ‘silent’ mode during the session

  • Portable games consoles should also be on ‘silent’ mode.
